This in from Coach Shane of the MPSC X-Treme U10 Girls…
The MPSC X-Treme U10 girls team continues to improve and to gain valuable experience. The girls secured their fist victory of the spring at the Midland Invitational Tournament, and I was very proud of their efforts and hard work all weekend.
We are currently being paced by Ellery Boyle, Sydney Natzel & Bella Colores in the scoring department, and our defense is lead by the trio of Kylie Hutchins, Morgan Brandeberry & Audrey Lange. Our goalkeepers, Haidyn Alexander, and Adia Kiste have also shown great improvement and toughness.
I could not be more proud of this young team in their early stages of development.

On June 21st and 22nd, the Mount Pleasant Soccer club hosted tryouts for the 2016/17 X-Treme Soccer season. Over 120 players came out to show off their skills in a bid to make the team. The MPSC thanks everyone for coming out and giving it their all. MPSC X-Treme coaches will be meeting soon to select teams and parents being notified soon after.
Here are a few photos from the X-Treme U9 Boys match vs. Alma on Sunday.
U14 Girls Head Coach Shane Boyle recently checked in with an update on how the ladies are doing:
The U14 X-Treme Girls improved to 6-0-1 with the completion of this weekend. We continue use multiple players, in multiple positions and formations, and are currently riding a 218 minute no goals allowed streak.
This coach is very proud of his young ladies!

Congratulations ladies, from all of us here at the MPSC!
The MPSC U19 Boys drew 1-1 with Grand Blanc at Horizon Park today. MP took a 1-0 lead in the first half thanks to a Brendan Cashen goal, and dominated possession for much of the game until Grand Blanc evened things up off a corner with mere seconds remaining. Unlucky for MP, but the boys played awesome!
Below is a brief photo gallery from the match.

Saturday, the Mount Pleasant Soccer Club and the city of Mount Pleasant were proud to unveil and dedicate the new Carolynn Cosan Pavilion at Horizon Park. The weather was more akin to late November than May, but that didn’t stop a large group of hearty club supporters from coming out to enjoy multiple matches of soccer, a tasty hotdog or three, and join in the unveiling of our new pavilion and concession stand in the memory of Carolynn Cosan.
Through the efforts of several community events involving the Mt. Pleasant Soccer Club and the City of Mt. Pleasant, we are pleased to have completed the construction of The Carolynn Cosan Pavilion at Horizon Park.
