Saturday, the Mount Pleasant Soccer Club and the city of Mount Pleasant were proud to unveil and dedicate the new Carolynn Cosan Pavilion at Horizon Park. The weather was more akin to late November than May, but that didn’t stop a large group of hearty club supporters from coming out to enjoy multiple matches of soccer, a tasty hotdog or three, and join in the unveiling of our new pavilion and concession stand in the memory of Carolynn Cosan.
Through the efforts of several community events involving the Mt. Pleasant Soccer Club and the City of Mt. Pleasant, we are pleased to have completed the construction of The Carolynn Cosan Pavilion at Horizon Park.
This weekend the MPSC X-Treme U12 Boys coached by Dan Daugherty went 2 and 1 in the White bracket at the 2016 Midland Invitational Tournament, earning a spot in the final where they fell to the skilled Gladiators FC to finish 2 and 2 on the weekend. Gladiators FC dominated the bracket, conceding only one goal the entire tournament–to X-Treme’s Michael Brookens (seen above).
Congratulations to the MPSC X-Treme U9 boys and Coach Matt Rogers who went 4 and 0 to claim the champions title in the U9 Boys White bracket at the 2016 Midland Invitational Tournament this past weekend.
Saturday afternoon the MPSC X-Treme U12 boys moved to 0-1-2 with a draw against Bay City. Michael Brookens scored 2, and Irvin Cudjoe scored 1 as the boys continue to improve on the young season. Next weekend the U12 boys take a week off from league play and head to Read more…
